The Jewish community in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, has a long history. The Jews who have stayed throughout or returned after both World War II and the Bosnian War are a mixed and vibrant community of both Ashkenazi and Sephardic families. While it is a thriving community, it is also small, and is struggling to maintain a presence as the congregation grows older.
